Architect / Architectural intern

Skinner Farlow Kirwan Architecture has a portfolio of thoughtful, award-winning design serving clients across North Carolina. Firm principals freely share knowledge as we embrace new ideas and ways of working. As a small firm that designs a wide scale of projects, every employee is a critical team player in the success of our work. Our office supports emerging professionals, exposing them to all aspects of architecture. Focusing in the areas of learning, working, recreation and worship, we enjoy creating spaces for our communities and nurturing relationships with clients through design.

 Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in architecture.

  • 3+ years of experience.

  • Architectural registration preferred or on the path to registration.

  • Proven proficiency in Revit.

  • Experience in new construction and renovation projects.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Interest in construction administration is a plus.

Qualities of the ideal candidate:

  • Self-motivated.

  • Able to work independently and with consultants.

  • Consistent and organized.

  • Passionate and curious about continued-education opportunities.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Close collaboration with a managing principal throughout all design phases.

  • Consistent and timely communication with the project team.

  • Produce phase documents in Revit.
